Rabbits Available for Adoption
Paige
I am confused and a little scared about the world—can I count on you to be my friend? Just
look at Paige’s striking markings…and her fur is even softer
than it is beautiful! If Paige looks a little uneasy in her
pictures, it is because she spent the first years of her life
living outdoors with other rabbits. She is not really sure
if she can trust people entirely, but she is starting to settle
in a little to the inside world, occasionally requesting to
have her velvety cheeks rubbed. Paige never really had any
toys before, so she is taking great care in selecting the
ones with which she should play. For now, her favorites are
tossing toys including cardboard egg cartons, bunny rattles,
and baby keys, and willow tents for hiding. Paige has a lot
of energy and likes to hop at lightning speed around the room,
stopping now and then to groom her dainty face and paws atop
cardboard huts. She loves to explore each nook and cranny
of her surroundings, and has not chewed any wires or furniture
while in her foster home—always a plus! Once she has tuckered
herself out, she will sit a spell on soft towels or chair
cushions and take a breather. |
Misty - Project Starlight
Our petite Holland
Lop girl Misty likes to play a little hard-to-get at first,
but what woman worth your time doesn’t? Her stunning
black Silver Marten coloring (black fur on top with a white
underbelly and highlights around her face) quickly catch your
eye, but it is Misty’s subtle way that reels in your
heart. Misty is estimated to be about 8-9 years old and has
a few health concerns that make her a Project Starlight animal.
When she was spayed after coming to Luna’s House, a
mass was found on her uterus. Fortunately, the removal of
the uterus is usually curative in rabbits with non-advanced
tumors (like the one Misty had). However, Misty also has chronically
weepy eyes—very easily treated—as well as dental
issues (she has required one dental procedure while in our
care and may need additional treatments in the future), and
gall stones (not much is known about gall stones in rabbits,
so we are not able to provide a prognosis for this condition). |
Cocoa and Fiesta
Cocoa and Fiesta are friendly, strapping lads who find great joy in exploring their surroundings. These brothers were surrendered to a local shelter together when they were just babies, as they were the result of an unwanted litter. Since they have been together all of their 2.5 years, Cocoa and Fiesta must be adopted out together. They are big New Zealand mix boys, so they require a lot of space for hopping, dancing, and playing…if they are kept in an area that is too confined, they get grumpy and will pick on each other (Ever been on a really long car trip with your family? Then you get the idea!), so they need a good amount of room to call their own. There is a lot of bunny to love between these two—contact us at Adoption@lunashouse.org to find out how to give these brothers a loving forever home or APPLY online. |
Houdini
"Look at
those ears!" This little mini-rex
guy, brought in as a stray, looks to still be a baby and hasn't "grown
into" his ears yet. He's a very curious little bun, and
earned his name for escaping from his foster family's bunny
condo! Favorite activities include lounging, bunny housekeeping
(rearranging toys as he sees fit) and happily pouncing and
munching on his daily greens. Houdini has lots of energy and
enjoys scampering about but is also just a snuggly as can
be. Pull this rabbit out of your hat and into your home! |
Anthony
If you would like to meet Anthony, please contact us at Adoption@lunashouse.org or APPLY online. |
Nikki
This little bun was brought in from a wildlife rescue. She's still getting her bearings in a “real house” with her foster parents, but this is one little bun who is as chill and relaxed as any you'll find. She spent all day at a large off-site event recently, enjoyed all the attention from thousands of passers-by, and was never once was jumpy or nervous. This smaller medium-sized dwarf/ lop mix girl would be the ideal bun for a houshold with small children. Nikki is perfectly at home with people and enjoys some good old-fashioned love and attention! If you would like to meet Nikki, please contact us at Adoption@lunashouse.org or APPLY online. |
Dempsey Adoption Pending
Funny story about Dempsey…he made his way to Luna’s House by accident when he was transported from a shelter in the area to us by mistake. Imagine our surprise when we opened the carrier that was supposed to contain a chinchilla and there is Dempsey, cute as a button, but definitely a rabbit! We took it as a sign that Dempsey was meant to come our way and are so glad he did. Not only are his chubby little salt-and-pepper cheeks so much fun to nuzzle, he is just a pleasure to have around—a bun that does not mind being lifted and is full of sweet dance moves? What more could you want? Dempsey is a little underweight and is missing several nails—most likely they were ripped out on a wire-bottomed cage—but he’s eating like a champ and will soon be healthy enough to be neutered. Once that little procedure is complete, this guy, estimated to be two years old, can go home with you! Contact us at Adoption@lunashouse.org or APPLY online to make this dreamy bun a part of your family. |
Cyrus
Cyrus is estimated to be a little over one year old. He is a mini-lop/French-lop mix and is very sweet, snuggly, and gentle. He came into our care emaciated, suffering from fur mites, ear mites, and an upper respiratory infection, and has limited use of his back legs. He has been treated for the mites, is eating up a storm, and is on antibiotics for the URI. Dr. Gold feels that the lameness in his hind legs is the result of starvation and should resolve itself with proper nutrition, as Cyrus gains strength and muscle tone. He has already improved in the 5 days we have had him, so we are confident he will make a full recovery. Once he is strong enough, he will be neutered (we estimate that this will be in early August). If you would like to make him part of your family please contact us at Adoption@lunashouse.org or APPLY online |
Gracie Adoption Pending
Gracie is a big, beautiful spayed female French Lop mix with a snow white coat and dark chocolate eyes. She is both sweet and sassy and would love the chance to meet you and become part of your family. If you would like to make him part of your family please contact us at Adoption@lunashouse.org or APPLY online |
Graham
Graham is a dapper mini-lop boy whose unique blue coat, highlighted with dashes and splashes of cream, is only one of his attractive features. As fun-loving as they come, Graham is most happy when he is running and playing. Graham is well on his way to being a lovebug, but he has asked his foster parents for a little patience and understanding, as he is not used to people paying him any mind. Graham was one of three rabbits seized by Animal Control because of neglect--he and his buddies were kept outside in the terrible heat with inadequate shelter and little more than pelleted food and dirty water. With some TLC, Graham is coming to enjoy the attention--not to mention the yummy greens and veggies!--at Luna's House, but this chubby-cheeked guy really deserves a forever home and family of his own. If you think you are up for the job, please drop us a line at Adoption@lunashouse.org or APPLY online |
Leah
Leah is pretty much a knock-out. From her unique calico-patterned coat to her long lashes and considerable dewlap, Ms. Leah is all lady. She is working on trusting us humans, as she is not used to people wanting to interact with her...Leah was one of three rabbits seized by Animal Control officers because she and her friends were kept outside in the July heat with inadequate shelter and little more than pelleted food and dirty water. Leah has proven that she is the master of many things, from dancing to lounging, since arriving at Luna's House, and though occasionally she has a bit of a diva attitude, she is a softie at heart. If you would like to give this beauty queen the pampering she deserves, we'd love to set up a time for her to mesmerize you--contact us at Adoption@lunashouse.org or APPLY online |
Brandy
Brandy is sweet, friendly, and a bit on the larger side, so she is hearty as well and would be a good match for a home with gentle children. This gorgeous dark tortoiseshell girl is just under a year old. If you would like to meet Brandy please contact us at Adoption@lunashouse.org or APPLY online |
Kelvin
Kelvin, a handsome red and white Dutch boy, would make a great
companion for most any family. |
Joanie
Joanie is a young bunny, about one year old, and is just as pretty as can be. She is a dwarf mix lady with unusual flame-point markings on her silky-soft coat. Joanie was found as a stray by local animal control officers, brought to a local shelter, and then transferred here to us at Luna?s House, where we just adore her. Though still a bit timid with new people, Joanie is figuring out the ways of the world and allowed us into her world little by little. Joanie is quite accomplished at both sitting for pets and running with joy, so she is one bun who has all her bases covered. Give this baby girl another chance by contacting us at Adoption@lunashouse.org or APPLY online |
Lucas
Lucas first came to Luna's House last August after having been surrendered to a local shelter when his guardians decided they did not have the time to properly care for him. This 2.5-year-old harlequin Dutch rabbit was adopted ten months ago, but was recently returned to our care for the exact same reason! We would love to see Lucas (formerly named "BunBuns") find the perfect home, forever this time. Lucas is both handsome and friendly, though he is a little shaken from the events of late...we know that Lucas deserves the very best and if you agree, you can let us know by contacting us at Adoption@lunashouse.org or APPLY online |
