Luna’s House, Inc. Programs

Our Works in Progress

We need your help to better the lives of companion animals in our community and beyond.

Here are some of the Programs we have in the works…drop us a line at info@lunashouse.org if you would like to be a part of anything you see here or if you have any ideas or suggestions for additional programs. Together we can see every animal into his or her very own happy home.

Direct Animal Care—Foster Homes

Because we are a newly formed animal welfare organization and we do not yet have a central facility, we are dependent upon the kindness and support of Volunteers and Foster Care Providers.

If you would like to learn more about becoming a Foster Parent for an animal in need, please contact us at info@lunashouse.org. In order to foster for Luna’s House, Inc. you will need to complete a Foster Care Application and Agreement.

Humane Education

This particular program is truly near and dear to us. Humane Education—passing on the knowledge of how to best care for animals—is perhaps the most important aspect of working in animal welfare. It is through awareness that we save lives…

So, if you are good with people or good with communicating (via literature, internet, public speaking, etc) and want to help animals, sign up to help us out as a Humane Educator today! Together we can and will make life better for our furry companions. Email us at info@lunashouse.org.

We believe that even a small group of dedicated individuals can make all the difference in the world.

Fundraising

Yard Sales, Information Tables, Community Relation Events…we are doing it all for the moolah…for the animals!

In order to establish a permanent facility, Luna’s House needs funding for land, construction, and upkeep of buildings and property.

If you would like to help us rake in the dough for the furry and feathered among us, please let us know. We will be more than happy to make that dream come true for you…e-mail us at info@lunashouse.org.

Adoption Counseling

As we grow, take in more animals in need, and hold more adoption events, we will have the need for volunteers who are able to counsel and educate potential adopters. If you feel as though this may be your calling, you would be invaluable to Luna’s House! Email us at info@lunashouse.org.

Project Starlight

Some of the animals here at Luna’s House require special care or above-and-beyond attention. We realize that they may be with us for the remainder of their lives, and as such we do everything we can to make their time with us the happiest, healthiest, and most fulfilling it can be. Whether because of medical, temperament, age-related, or aesthetic reasons, some of our furry, feathered, or scaled friends will likely call Luna’s House their forever home. These special animals are in a new program called Project Starlight, an initiative to which all are welcome to contribute.

Thank you so much for your support of animals in need!

Pet Memorial Project

Probably our most special and personal initiative, our Pet Memorial Project is truly in the fledgling stages of construction. However, we feel that it is very important for animal guardians and caretakers to have a meaningful way to manifest the loss of a beloved pet. In the process of creating a memorial to honor and remember companion animals who have “crossed over the Rainbow Bridge,” we create an outlet for the humans that loved them to say goodbye and attain closure.

If you would like to take part in making this project a profound, important reality, please contact us at info@lunashouse.org
